Vulcanized fibre

Vulcanized fibre, also called vulcanite, is the hard fiber for dielectric applications. Composed of cellulose and cotton fibres, it is obtained by treating paper or paper pulp with zinc chloride.
Vulcanized fiber is available for direct sale in sheets or strips. Ideal as an electrical insulator, as well as continuously resisting up to 110°C.

Applications

Classified with thermal class 220°C as well as V0 self-extinguishing according to the UL-94 standard, Nomex is used for a wide range of applications.

Mylar transparent polyester film is a particularly strong and durable translucent film.
